چکیده
Introduction: Respiratory tract infection refers to any infectious disease involving the respiratory tract. In low-income and middle-income countries, is considered as one of major public health problems. It can lead severe mortality morbidity in children well adults. Over years there has been a development resistance antibiotics used for treatment throat infections which led search alternative therapy. Insects be potentially useful an therapy because diverse bioactive compounds they possess. Objective: This research investigated antibacterial activity extract Anopheles gambiae against bacterial isolates associated with infection. Methods: The insects were bred microbiology laboratory identified Department Biology, Federal University Technology, Akure. mosquitoes collect immobilized freezer at -4oC. extracts prepared by mecrating into 30% Dimethlsulfoxide (DMSO) its homogenization. Extracts then tested in-vitro using agar diffusion method. Results: method showed S. pyogenes (22.00 ± 0.58b mm), aureus (19.67 1.20mm) K. pneumoniae (24 1.15mm), while it no E. coli pneumoniae. Conclusion: A. may medicine combat issue increasing multidrug conventional antibiotics, side effects these high cost synthetic drugs production. most prevalent compound was n-hexadecenoic retention time 20.997, reported exhibit antioxidant antimicrobial activity.

متن کاملOvipositional Behavior of Anopheles gambiae Mosquitoes
Mosquito eggs laid within two hours are necessary for transgenic (injection) studies, because mosquito eggs become hard after that period. Thus, in order to have eggs available within this two-hour window, it is important to understand the ovipositional behavior of Anopheles gambiae s.s.. In the present study, the ovipositional behavior of An. gambiae s.s. (Kisumu) was investigated in several d...
متن کاملModulation of Malaria Infection in Anopheles gambiae Mosquitoes Exposed to Natural Midgut Bacteria
The development of Plasmodium falciparum within the Anopheles gambiae mosquito relies on complex vector-parasite interactions, however the resident midgut microbiota also plays an important role in mediating parasite infection. In natural conditions, the mosquito microbial flora is diverse, composed of commensal and symbiotic bacteria. We report here the isolation of culturable midgut bacteria ...
متن کاملSynergy in Efficacy of Fungal Entomopathogens and Permethrin against West African Insecticide-Resistant Anopheles gambiae Mosquitoes
BACKGROUND Increasing incidences of insecticide resistance in malaria vectors are threatening the sustainable use of contemporary chemical vector control measures. Fungal entomopathogens provide a possible additional tool for the control of insecticide-resistant malaria mosquitoes. This study investigated the compatibility of the pyrethroid insecticide permethrin and two mosquito-pathogenic fun...
